Community Cleanup Week April 1 – 9

The City of Fredericksburg and the Rappahannock Regional Solid Waste Management Board (R-Board) will hold their spring Community Cleanup Week from Saturday, April 1, through Sunday, April 9, 2017.

City residents may dispose of furniture, tires, appliances, brush, and scrap materials at centralized locations in the city. Household trash, paint, and hazardous materials are not accepted.

The locations are:
– Summit Street (Mayfield)
– 1400 Block of Kenmore Avenue (beside Cossey Botanical Park)
– Freedom Lane (in the gravel lot between the VFW and Falmouth Bridge)
– Altoona Drive (at the Sam Perry Fire House)
– Rappahannock Avenue (at Payne Street)
– Braehead Woods (near Meade Court)
– Chadwick Court

Appliance pickup day is Tuesday, April 4, 2017. To request an appliance pickup, call 540-372-1023 by 4 p.m. Monday, April 3.

A household hazardous materials collection day will be held from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017. The new location is the Stafford Middle School parking lot, 101 Spartan Dr. in Stafford.
