Claxton Logistics moves into Quantico Corporate Center

by | May 4, 2017 | Business, Defense Contracting

Claxton Logistics, a government contractor, has opened a 10,000 square foot office at Quantico Corporate Center.

The company has relocated from Dumfries. The focus of the company’s efforts at the new facility will be acquisitions and logistics in support of the Department of the Navy and United States Marine Corps.

“This move to Quantico Corporate Center will put us closer to our primary customer at Quantico and provides an effective environment from which to more effectively operate,” said Ray Johnson, owner of Claxton Logistics. “Furthermore, our location was designed with extra offices and leading edge conferencing facilities that are fully furnished and available for our customers and supporting business community.”

“As the home of Quantico, Stafford County continues to be an attractive option for those doing business with the Federal Government outside the Beltway. Over the past decade dozens of new defense and Homeland Security oriented businesses have discovered Stafford, and expanded here. We are privileged to have Claxton Logistics on that list,” said Jack Cavalier, Stafford County Board of Supervisors.

Stafford County has experienced a surging IT infrastructure in Boswell’s Corner adjacent to Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ), which is consistent with its long-term development plans.

Claxton is moving into the top floor of the building at 400 Corporate Drive, a 40,000 square foot facility.
