On 10/04/17 at approximately 5:00 pm, Deputies responded to the Super Value Inn in reference to a report of gunshots being fired in the area of the parking lot. Responding Deputies arrived on scene and located numerous shell casings in the area and several bystanders reported that they heard the gunfire. Additional Deputies and Detectives responded to the area and began looking for any signs of a victim or suspects. A short while later the Sheriff’s office was notified that 2 patients arrived at a local hospital with suspected gunshot wounds. The two adult victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

Detectives were able to identify the shooter as White and immediately began canvassing the area in attempt to locate him. White was soon located inside of a room at the business and taken into custody. It is unclear what the motive was at this point, but the investigation into this incident continues.
