From Stafford Sheriff’s Department

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office recently participated in Mission BBQ’s Red Hometown Heroes Cup campaign. On Monday, representatives from each organization gathered at the restaurant’s Stafford location to present a $3,400 check to Empowerhouse.

In the weeks leading up to September 11, 2017, Mission BBQ donated $2.00 from every purchase of a Red Hometown Heroes Cup to local charities chosen by first responders in their communities.

The sheriff’s office selected Empowerhouse, a nonprofit organization which supports survivors of domestic violence.

“We are very grateful to Mission BBQ for the opportunity to lend our support to those in need in our community,” Sheriff David P. Decatur stated. “Empowerhouse serves as an incredible resource for those impacted by domestic violence. We are proud to support them.”
