I got a chance to meet local artist Pete Morelewicz over at Craftworks Studios last week.
Pete, also known as Print Jazz, does some amazing work with prints and letterpress. He has a great set of prints of Fredericksburg buildings.
Pete’s opening a show called D1G1TS from 6 to 9 pm at Sunken Well Tavern on the 9th. His work often explores using letters and numbers in non-representational ways. The show will include a series of screen prints and letterpress prints exploring inherently exuberant, often sexy, anatomy of numerals. Both framed and unframed prints will be for sale. The show closes January 10, 2018.
