Mudd Tavern Road widening project hearing is Tuesday, Nov. 14

The public is invited to attend a public hearing next week to view the proposed design to widen Route 606 (Mudd Tavern Road) to four lanes west of Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County, and to add a new secondary road north of Mudd Tavern Road.

The hearing will be held:

Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017*
5-7 p.m.
Thornburg Middle School
6929 North Roxbury Mill Road
Spotsylvania, VA 22551
*Inclement weather date is Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017

The public meeting is a design public hearing for the Mudd Tavern Road widening project. In the same room, a location public hearing will be held for a project to add a new secondary road north of Mudd Tavern Road. The new road would be Route 2092. It would connect Dan Bell Lane and South Roxbury Mill Road and would intersect with Mudd Tavern Road.

The meeting will be held in an open house format.

Stop by between 5-7 p.m. to view project designs and environmental documents. VDOT representatives will be available to answer questions.

The public can give oral or written comments at the hearing, or mail comments by Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, to VDOT Fredericksburg District, Attention: Mr. Khalil Minhas, 87 Deacon Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
