by | Nov 17, 2017 | Non-Profits

From Micah Ministries

Hands on Opportunities:

• Sign up to bring a box of Christmas Cards and stamps to the Cold Weather shelter and help guests send cards to their family and friends.

• Sign up to bring cookies and hot chocolate to the Cold Weather Shelter one night. You might even sing a few Christmas Carols

• Sign up to provide and serve dinner for 8 at Micah’s Respite Residential Recovery House.

Drop off Opportunities:

• Provide a “Cleaning Bucket” for someone moving into housing. We suggest purchasing a plastic bucket and filling it with…
Ajax
Sponges
Mr. Clean
Paper Towels
Dish Soap
Mop
Plunger Broom
Toilet Cleaner
Clorox Wipes
• “Stuff a Backpack” for one of our Homeless neighbors. Each backpack should include:
Gum
White Tube Socks
Fleece Blanket
Personal Note
Gender-neutral Gloves
Small Umbrella
Gender Neutral Hat
$5 Gift Card to Walmart or a Fast Food Restaurant
Hand Warmers
Flashlight
Chap Stick
$7 cash (for Micah to purchase a laundry voucher for each bag)
Instant Coffee
Movie Gift card
*Please keep the bags as close to this list as possible, so as to not create competition for the bags

• Provide a wrapped gift for the guests at Micah’s Respite Residential Recovery House. (Need 8)
