From Skin+Touch Therapy Spa

Skin+Touch Therapy Spa, located at 714 Caroline Street in downtown Fredericksburg, has opened a nail studio offering natural eco-friendly nail services in a newly-renovated addition to their historic building.

“We have been getting requests from clients wanting a full day spa experience with massage, facials and nails. Now clients can enjoy several hours of relaxation and pampering” says Lam.

The nail studio has been outfitted with three manicure stations and a three-seat modern pedicure bench that allows for a traditional water soak, but which is also pipe-less for increased sanitation standards. Manicure and pedicure services will be limited to small groups of 3-6, allowing for a private and intimate spa setting.

Skin+Touch Therapy Spa will offer traditional manis and pedis as well as gel polishes and their signature “eco-spa” mani/pedi, which offers non-paraffin treatment, additional massage, and Farmhouse Fresh scrubs and soaks. Children’s manis and pedicures will also be offered for those under 12 years old.

“We have selected nail polishes that are 5-free or 7-free and that exclude chemicals like Touluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP), Xylene and Camphor. These polishes offer chip-resistant coverage and long lasting wear, and they’re safe for adults and kids” says Rachel Bohnstedt, the lead nail technician.

Skin+Touch Therapy Spa is approaching its fifth year of business in the William Cox Clockmaker and Silversmith building on Caroline Street, circa 1839. Owner Brian Lam has been slowly renovating this historic building to house a modern spa while keeping the charms and details that only an historical building can offer.

Lam has also installed infrared saunas. The saunas can be enjoyed as a stand-alone service or used before or after your massage, facial or manis/pedi.
