BB&T has partnered with Rappahannock United Way to bring the BB&T tax bus to offer free tax preparation in their state-of-the-art mobile tax center to rural tax clients in our region on February 13 and February 14, 2018. This service is available for anyone who had a household income of $66,000 or less in 2017.

The bus will be at the following locations:
Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spotsylvania Department of Social Services
9019 Old Battlefield Blvd., Spotsylvania, VA 22553

Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Salem Church Library
2607 Salem Church Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22407

“We’re excited to be working with BB&T again this year,” said Katerina Vollten, Financial Stability Manager at Rappahannock United Way. “This is a great opportunity for people in Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg to not only have their taxes filed for free, but also get a free credit report and help with setting up a savings or checking account if they need that assistance. All you have to do is sign up! We’ll also be taking walk-ins those days if slots are available.”

The BB&T tax bus will be staffed with IRS-certified volunteers from Rappahannock United Way.

“If you’re in the area and need to file your taxes, come see us on the BB&T tax bus,” said Vollten. “This bus travels around the country and we’re fortunate to have it stop here for two days this year. It’s really a unique way to have your taxes prepared. You won’t want to miss this!”
