Becky the Attack Robot

by | Apr 10, 2018 | Germanna

From Germanna Community College

Jacob Mitchell (from Massaponax, on the floor) inspects the “attack robot” – named Becky – that he and other Germanna Community College engineering students built to compete in a “soccer competition” with robotic creations from other schools at Penn State this weekend. The other students, standing, left-to-right are Alexander Anderson (Massaponax), Angel Soto-Pellot (cq (Fredericksburg) and “team leader” Sara Carlson (Fredericksburg). Sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the collegiate design competition – named “E-Fest East” will “provide a venue for engineering students to showcase their innovation, invention, and creativity” according to the website (http://news.psu.edu/story/506532/2018/02/21/academics/engineering-festival-draw-800-students-ignite-innovation).
