Public hearing coming about Ladysmith Road project

The public is invited to attend a design public hearing on Wednesday, April 18, to learn more about a project to widen and reconstruct Route 639 (Ladysmith Road) between Route 1 and Interstate 95 in Caroline County, and to comment on the proposed design.

The design public hearing will be held:

Wednesday, April 18, 2018

5-7 p.m.

Lewis and Clark Elementary School

18101 Clark and York Boulevard

Ruther Glen, VA 22546

Stop by anytime between 5-7 p.m. to review displays, proposed plans, and discuss questions with Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) staff. No formal presentation will be given at the public hearing.

Comments will be accepted at the public hearing, and afterward through April 28, 2018.

Project Background

This $26.6 million project is fully funded through construction. The project will widen Ladysmith Road to four lanes with a raised median between Route 1 and I-95.
