Established in 1992, the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Fredericksburg Urbanized Area. The City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Stafford and Spotsylvania comprise the MPO study area.
