That’s especially true because of all the outdoor activities in store the last weekend of March, including several Easter Egg Hunts, Kids’ Fishing at Old Cossey Pond and a Woodland Hike at Belmont. Virginia Horse Festival and Secretariat’s Birthday Party

A new three-day equestrian event promoting all aspects of the equine industry for the horse owner and enthusiast. The weekend will include an indoor trade show, demonstrations, clinics and seminars. Since horse lovers and dog lovers go hand in hand, the Central Virginia Agility Club will perform demonstrations of this popular dog sport.
Tickets: $10 for adults in advance, $15 at the gate. $8 in advance for children ages five through 12, $10 at the gate. Children four and younger admitted free with a paid adult admission. In Gratitude: A Tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire

Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs

$5 for up to two dogs
Half of all registration will be given to the Fredericksburg Regional SPCA. Dog owners are required to sign a release acknowledging their dog(s) is current on shots and healthy enough to participate. Dogs must be at least 12-weeks-old. An area will be set aside for dogs under 15 pounds. Pre-registration is suggested. On-site registration will be available if space permits.
