Lunch will be provided. If your student has allergies, they will need to bring their own lunch. If you have additional questions, you can reply to the confirmation email and we will respond as quickly as possible.

If you’ve got a smartphone, bring it along! We’ll use it for a few activities — but don’t worry, it’s not required.

Benjamin Day, who turned his military service into a dedicated Masonic career as the longest-serving Master of Lodge No. 4 and eventually the Grand Master of Masons in Virginia. This lecture will be given by Lodge No. 4’s Archivist and Past Master, W∴B∴ Michael Dove.

You’re invited to First Africans Day, a powerful collaboration of reflection, celebration, and remembrance at Stratford Hall. Together, we honor of the lives, stories, and contributions of the enslaved Africans and African Americans who shaped the history of this vital place in Early America. Explore these communities’ music, dance, foodways, and material culture across an unforgettable day-long experience.

The Fred SPCA’s Compassionate Care Camp offers a hands-on opportunity for children to learn about animals and become advocates for their well-being in the community. Campers will discover more about dogs and cats, explore animal-related career fields, learn how to provide daily care for pets, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the work we do at the Fredericksburg SPCA. With engaging discussions and interactive activities covering a wide range of animal welfare topics, this camp is the perfect summer experience for any young animal enthusiast.

Though he was “First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen”, there’s no more suitable a man to discuss at this final lecture than General George Washington. After being raised on the shores of the Rappahannock, and having been Initiated, Passed, and Raised a Master Mason in Fredericksburg Lodge, understanding his familial and brotherly roots in the area adds new dimensions to the study of his military and political leadership.

This lecture will be given by Bill Garner, President of the George Washington Foundation.
