FredXchange will preview its soon-to-be opened co-working space during Open Coffee on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. The weekly gathering will be held at The Foundry, 2324 Plank Rd., from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

The Foundry is a 2,300-square-foot space in the Gateway Village Shopping Center that will provide flexible co-working space and initiate educational and mentoring opportunities for entrepreneurs and startups.

The Foundry Executive Director Libby O’Malley will host a walk-thru of the facility — which is in construction phase — outlining the proposed work space layouts and amenities, and reviewing the subscription pricing. “Folks will have the chance to sign up for the ‘early-bird’ pricing,” O’Malley said.

The Foundry is currently offering four packages; each includes high-speed internet and free coffee. Parking is plentiful and free. The packages and early-bird pricing are:

DayFlex
Open seating
$19 per day – first day is free.

Flex 5
Open seating
$69 for 5 days per month.

Full Time
Open seating
4 hours of conference room use per month.
$159 a month

Full Time Plus
Reserved desk with secure filing/storage
8 hours of conference room use per month
$199 a month

“The Foundry is a factory where metal castings are forged, and we like the play on the words,” said O’Malley said on the co-working space name. “We [entrepreneurs] consider ourselves founders of various companies and startups in the region. We [FredXchange] consider ourselves the place where founders are forged.”
