Free Workshops with a Professional Organizer

by | Sep 17, 2016 | Events

by Samantha Thomason, Community Relations Manager, Central Rappahannock Regional Library

Linda Clevenger of Organization Direct and Scrum Training Academy will be offering three free workshops at Central Rappahannock Regional Library in September and October 2016.

Let’s Get Organized!
Porter Branch, 7 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22
Clevenger will discuss tips to help you organize, declutter, and develop new habits that can change your life. Clevenger launched Organization Direct in 2007 because she wanted to help others save time and money. She began with organizing homes, and then expanded to working with businesses and entrepreneurs. She notes that “everyone, homeowners and business owners, struggled in the same three areas…time management, schedule management and paper management. And that almost all of my clients have experienced some form of distraction. This is what has caused their need to get organized. So I developed systems that help both homeowners and business owners to manage their time, schedules and paper.”

Scrum
England Run Branch, 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22
Salem Church Branch, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26
Clevenger, a certified Scrum trainer, will show you how to get more business done in less time. Originally used in software development, Scrum is an Agile framework that can be used to manage any complex project.

For more tips on organization, join a discussion of the best selling book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, by Marie Kondo, at Porter Branch from 7 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20.
