Paul’s (Paul’s Bakery and Paul’s Young at Heart) is hosting its third annual Christmas lights display in 2016.

The display will be open 6:30 – 9 p.m. Thanksgiving weekend, November 24, 25, 26 and 27.

The display reopens Friday, Dec. 2, and continues nightly through Christmas Eve, December 24.

Located in the parking lot adjacent to Paul’s at 2006 Lafayette Blvd. in Fredericksburg, the display features creations Paul Glancy introduced during Startup Weekend Fredericksburg in 2014, and for which he won “Crowd Favorite” and second place in the competition.

Glancy, owner of Paul’s Bakery for 41 years until his “retirement” in 2014, is a self-proclaimed Christmas decoration fanatic. “I hang out on the Planet Christmas website a little too much,” he said.

“My greatest passion has been to create one of the largest, home-made Christmas displays in the area,” Glancy said. He developed a “special way” of creating characters and objects with PVC, and brining them to life with lights.

Admission is free, but visitors are invited to bring a donation for Toys for Tots. Donations are also accepted during business hours at Paul’s Bakery and Paul’s Young at Heart.
