“Silver Lake,” an acrylic and cold wax painting by Bob Worthy of Montross, Virginia, won first place in the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts (FCCA) Power of Small exhibition.

Juror Don Crow selected the award winning artwork for the national exhibit, which is on display through January 27, 2017, in FCCA’s Frederick Gallery.

Second place was awarded to “Toll Road,” a mixed-media paper collage by Teresa Blatt of North Hills, California. Third place went to “Small Girl, Big Chair,” a monotype by Linda Rose of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

The Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts is located at 813 Sophia St. in downtown Fredericksburg. Hours are 12 – 4 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday. Closed Tuesdays.

FCCA, an all volunteer 501(c)(3) organization, is the oldest art center in the greater Fredericksburg area, and it hosts two art galleries, art classes, and special events.
