A Stafford-based coalition is working to tap into retired business talent to help local businesses thrive through SCORE: Assistance with Starting or Operating a Small Business.

Stafford County, the Quantico Innovation Center, and the Virginia Region of SCORE invite local retired and almost-retired entrepreneurs and business leaders to an information meeting exploring new avenues for channeling their talents through volunteerism, by helping local entrepreneurs start small businesses and achieve new levels of success in their existing businesses.

The free SCORE Virginia informational meeting will be held from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Quantico Innovation Center, 1000 Corporate Dr., Suite 119, in Stafford. There is no registration requirement.

The event will introduce local individuals to SCORE, and how it works with local business owners. “We encourage anyone who has past business ownership and/or corporate experience wishing to learn more about joining SCORE to attend this educational event,” said Joseph Brisby, SCORE District Director.
