Weekend events in the Fredericksburg area for September 26 – 28, 2014.

September 26 – 28 (Friday – Sunday)

Startup Weekend Fredericksburg III, “a 54-hour event designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs.  Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations.”  Register online.

September 26 – Friday

FredXchange Open Coffee presents John Sechrest (@Sechrest), global facilitator for Startup Weekend, 8 – 9:30 a.m. at The Center, 1514 College Ave., Fredericksburg. Free coffee provided by Blackstone Coffee.

Fredericksburg Startup Weekend begins at 5:30 p.m..  Information and registration is available online.

September 27 – Saturday

September 28 – Sunday

Washington Heritage Museums County Fair presents live music, games, beer, wine, BBQ and family fun 3 – 6 p.m. at Old Mill Park, 2410 Caroline St., Fredericksburg.  The fair will be held rain or shine.  Family tickets are $60, individual tickets are $25.

Fredericksburg Jazz Collective presents “The Art of Playing Together,” illustrating how jazz musicians communicate using a live band.  The free performance begins at 2 p.m. at Gari Melchers Home and Studio at Belmont, 224 Washington St., Falmouth.

Virginia Master Naturalists lead a free hike, beginning at 2 p.m., covering a mile of trails in woodlands and fields at Gari Melchers Home and Studio at Belmont, 224 Washington St., Falmouth.
