The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is hosting this Educators vs. Law Enforcement game. All proceeds benefit DARE education.

Tea and Tour: The Ladies of Kenmore
Saturday, March 11, 2 – 4 p.m. at Kenmore Plantation, 1201 Washington Ave., Fredericksburg, VA 22401
A special tea and tour focusing on the many generations of ladies who have called Kenmore home. Enjoy light refreshments while experiencing an 18th-century tea service first hand. Inside the mansion, you’ll tour the first floor, learning the history of the grand 1775 home through vignettes, and meeting some of the extraordinary ladies of Kenmore along the way.

Aquia Evening Lions Monte Carlo Night
Saturday, March 11, 7 p.m. at Aquia Harbour’s Harbour Inn, 1417 Washington Dr., Stafford.
Enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Cash bar. Games include blackjack, roulette, craps, and Texas Hold ‘Em. Door prizes donated by many local businesses. Auction items range from themed baskets to beautifully framed photography.

Family Day at the National Museum of the Marine Corps — Astronomy and Celestial Navigation
Saturday, March 11, 5 – 8 p.m., at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, 18900 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Triangle, VA 22172
Before the days of modern navigation equipment we used the stars to navigate. Join our visiting 18th century scientist on an exploration of ancient navigational techniques. Modern telescopes and astronomy experts from the Rappahannock Astronomy Club will be on hand to help us gaze at the stars. This is an outdoor program. Please dress for the weather. Free.

River Cleanup
Sunday, March 12, 1 – 4 p.m. Meet at Old Mill Park, 2201 Caroline St., Fredericksburg.
Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR), Fredericksburg Clean and Green Commission, Virginia Outdoor Center, Common Ground Church, and River Rock Outfitter are hosting a day of community stewardship along the Rappahannock River and other outdoor spaces in the area.
Be prepared to drive to your assigned clean-up site. Please preregister.
