by | Nov 11, 2014 | Schools & Education

Edward E. Drew Middle School, 501 Cambridge St., Fredericksburg, will host its inaugural TEDxDrewMiddleSchool from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15. The theme is “What Can I Do? Improve. Invent. Inspire.”

“Each speaker’s talk will use the theme to spark discussion and connection with the audience,” organizers said. See the list of speakers on the event website.

Tickets are $25 for educators, $30 for non-educators and $8 for students, plus an Eventbrite convenience fee. Purchase tickets on the TEDxDrewMiddleSchool Eventbrite page.

According to the website, “TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.”
