It’s Summer Restaurant Week through August 10 in Fredericksburg.  The fourth annual event features 17 independent restaurants offering “Two for $20” specials.

MONDAY, August 4

Music on the Steps presents Appalachian folk and bluegrass by Jeni and Billy, 7 – 8 p.m. at Central Rappahannock Library Headquarters Branch, 1201 Caroline St., Free.
Fredericksburg’s Architectural Review Board will hold a supplementary meeting at 7 p.m. to review the recently released concept design for Riverfront Park.  The meeting is in Council Chambers at City Hall, 715 Princess Anne St.  The public is welcome to attend, but there will be no opportunity for public comment.

TUESDAY, August 5

Fredericksburg Circuit and General Court offices open in the new courthouse at 701 Princess Anne St.
Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce Spotsylvania Roundtable presents Martha Hutzel from the Central Rappahannock Regional Library, 8 – 9 a.m. at Hampton Inn & Suites Fredericksburg South, 4800 Market St.  Cost at the door is $15 members, $20 non-members.
Founder’s Ale, a 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. FredXchange gathering of entrepreneurs and local startup business founders at Capital Ale House 917, Caroline St., Fredericksburg.

WEDNESDAY, August 6

Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce Next Gen Midweek Motivation presents Denny Fallon, “Why Mentoring Matters,” 12 – 1 p.m. at Ristorante Renato, 422 William St.  Advance registration is $18 for members, $24 non-members.  There is an additional fee of $2 for paying at the door.
Back-to-School Blast at Dixon Pool, 1300 Dixon St., from 8 – 10 p.m.  Admission is $2, payable at the pool.  Open to all ages.

THURSDAY, August 7

Summer Series presents free concerts at 6:30 p.m. in two locations.  Louder plugged-in shows are at Market Square, and quieter unplugged acoustic shows are at LibertyTown Arts Workshop.  Free.

FRIDAY, August 8

FredXchange presents Open Coffee, 8 – 9:30 a.m.  at 1514 College Ave. Free.
