B101.5 morning show hosts Chris Centore and Dee Daniels will celebrate their fifth year by giving back to the community.  The Chris & Dee In The Morning Show will spotlight one local charitable organization each day during their anniversary week April 7 – 11, 2014.

Chris and Dee volunteered with local charities in the days leading up to their anniversary week. “They rolled-up their sleeves to serve hot meals, help kids with homework, paint bald heads like Easter eggs, and even scoop poop,” said B101.5 Operations Manager Chuck Archer.

Video of these volunteer sessions will be posted each day during anniversary week on B101.5’s Facebook page.  The local charities featured include:

Monday, April 7 – Rappahannock Big Brothers Big Sisters

Tuesday, April 8 – Fredericksburg Regional SPCA

Wednesday, April 9 – Greater Fredericksburg Habitat For Humanity

Thursday, April 10 – Aquia’s Table

Friday, April 11 – The Grace Oughton Cancer Foundation

The co-hosts’ comments about their five years together were customarily silly.

“Five years with this show and with Chris has been like owning five lava lamps; strong on the outside, gooey in the middle, and one of the most colorful parts of my entire life,” said Dee.

“Being part of a show that has outlasted Hannah Montana and Kardashian marriages sounds impressive, but when you think about it, you think about it,” Chris said.

The Chris and Dee In The Morning Show airs 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday on WBQB, B101.5.  The ensemble cast includes hosts Chris Centore and Dee Daniels, Ted Schubel with “Info2Go”, traffic reporter Robert Workman, and Director of Social Media Brittney “B-L-R” Rook.

Fredericksburg’s B101.5 and AM1230 WFVA are owned and operated by Centennial Broadcasting II, LLC.
