The Fredericksburg Democratic Committee is holding a City Council Candidate Forum at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, in the community room of the Free Lance-Star.  The event is free and open to the public.

“We have invited all candidates to speak, including those running unopposed, so they may share their vision for the future of Fredericksburg and answer any questions,” said Jason Graham, chairman of the Fredericksburg Democratic Committee.

The Fredericksburg election for  City Council and School Board  will be held May 6, 2014.

Council members and the mayor serve four-year, staggered terms, with elections held every two years in May.  This year’s City Council candidates are  Brad C. Ellis for Ward 1; William C. “Billy” Withers for Ward 2; Tim P. Duffy and Richard K. Friesner for Ward 3; and Charlie L. “Chuck” Frye, Jr. and Beatrice R. “Bea” Paolucci for Ward 4.
