“Early spring is a great time for inspecting birds, plants, insects and all things natural along the Rappahannock fall line,” said Woodie Walker, Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR) community conservationist. The fall line is the point at which the river becomes tidal.
Meet at the Friends of the Rappahannock headquarters, 3219 Fall Hill Ave., Fredericksburg. The “Eagles, Beetles and Asters, Oh My!” hike costs $5 individual/$10 family ($4/$8 for FOR members). Pre-register online.
In case of bad weather, the event will be held Sunday, April 20.
