It’s been a little more than a year since Crystal Wellman opened Ladyburg, the modern skin care apothecary in downtown Fredericksburg.

Now she’s expanded her business, opening a separate acne and skin care clinic.

Crystal Clear Acne Clinic, located at 1210 Princess Anne St., Suite A, provides treatment to those suffering from all types of skin conditions, including acne, acne rosacea and effects brought on by aging.

Wellman is a Master Aesthetician and a certified acne specialist, with additional certifications in the areas of oncology, dermaplane and microdermabrasion.  She said her clinic offers a unique approach to skin care.   “All our clients meet with an acne or skin care coach every two weeks until their condition has cleared-up,” she said. “Each treatment plan is designed to fit the unique needs of each person, and all treatment is kept personal and private.”

“People come to us because they have age spots, or fine lines or acne.  We help them come up with a plan to treat those and to improve it,” Wellman said. “That’s how we’re different.  Our treatments are still relaxing, but they’re really focused on causes and results.”

Wellman teaches people how to properly care for their skin. “Those who have skin care conditions will find that while they are treated so the condition goes away, they also learn how to help prevent it from happening again in the future,” she said.  “What we do is essentially provide physical therapy for the skin, and we love being able to do it.”
