“Dr. McDermott brings strong knowledge of our organization, and a great passion for the health of our community,” said John F. Fick, III, chairman of the Mary Washington Healthcare Board of Trustees.
Dr. McDermott is currently a radiologist with the Radiologic Associates of Fredericksburg. He received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. He is Board Certified in Diagnostic and Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
Dr. McDermott will begin a transition period until January 1, 2015, when he will officially replace Rankin.
