The 2014 Red Hot & Blues Festival will be held July 26 at the Anne Marie Sheridan Amphitheater, 17044 Adventure Bound Trail, Rixeyville, Va.

Co-sponsored by the Fredericksburg Blues Society and Verdun Adventure Bound, the festival begins at 10 a.m. with con-current workshops in harmonica, guitar and drums.  The cost of the workshops is included in the price of a general admission ticket.

The Dear Johns Blues Band kicks-off the concert at 1 p.m., followed at 2 p.m. by Gaye Adegbalola and the Wild Rutz. The Blues Buckets will perform from 3 – 5 p.m.

Headlining the day is Jarekus Singleton, whom Blues and Rhythm magazine calls, “A great, new blues talent…young, original, soulful and intense…superb, blistering guitar.”

Tickets are available online and at the gate. Fredericksburg Blues Society members and military personnel tickets are $25 per person; all others are $30 per person.

Guests are invited to bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs. Alcohol and firearms are not permitted.
