I was standing in line for Sunday brunch at Foode, when tourists engaged me in conversation. These travelers wanted to eat brunch and get on the road. They didn’t want to wait. Where else in town could they go, they wanted to know?
I knew of a few downtown restaurants serving lunch on Sunday … but brunch?
So I asked on Facebook.
I investigated your suggestions, many of which turned out to be restaurants serving breakfast or lunch, not brunch. But I did discover five locations in downtown Fredericksburg serving Sunday brunch.
Here’s how brunch is defined for this article. (Your breakfast suggestions will be another story.)
Must be served from at least 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Must include the option to purchase brunch beverages such as Mimosas and Bloody Marys.
Must include choices different from the eateries’ daily breakfast options.

Walk-ins welcome. Reservations are strongly suggested for holidays including Fathers’ Day, Mothers’ Day, Easter, etc.
