Vintage Route 1 Tour & Downtown Community Day

Vintage Route 1 Tour & Downtown Community Day will be held 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, in downtown Fredericksburg.

The Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc. (HFFI) event is an annual celebration of Fredericksburg’s 20th century history.  There will be ticketed walking tours of Princess Anne Street  — part of the original Route 1 — as well as free events at various venues in downtown Fredericksburg.  Guests are invited to dress from their favorite decade.

SCHEDULE OF FREE EVENTS:

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Riverfront Park, 600 Sophia St.

SCHEDULE OF TOURS, EXHIBIT

“Sophia Street: The Road Route 1 Forgot”
One hour walking tours at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The tour leaves from the HFFI tent in Riverfront Park, 600 Sophia St.
Cost is $12 – $15 per person

“Railways and Roadways” Exhibit
Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center, 1001 Princess Anne St.
$1 – $7 per person.
Admission is free with purchase of a Sophia Street Walking Tour ticket.
