Where to Watch World Cup Soccer

We’re days into the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but I’m still receiving requests from local residents wondering where they can catch the games.

Home Team Grill Fredericksburg, 1109 Jefferson David Hwy, is showing all World Cup Games.

Legends Sports Grille at 9969 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Fredericksburg is showing all U.S. games and offering specials.

World Cup viewing and specials at Legends Sports Grill.

Two other locations where  you can watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup are Cancun Margarita Bar and Grill at 625 Spotsylvania Towne Centre and Fredericksburg Field House, 3411 Shannon Park Dr.

The month-long tournament features four rounds, 32 teams, 62 games and one prize, the Jules Rimet trophy.  This year’s host county, Brazil, has won the title six times in the past.

The complete list of daily matches is online at 2104 FIFA World Cup Brazil Daily Matches.
This from ESPN:
“ESPN will present all 64 matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup live and in high definition on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC during its comprehensive coverage of the month-long tournament in Brazil, June 12 – July 13. Extensive studio programming originating from the host country is also planned, including pre-match shows, halftime and post-match segments.

“ESPN will televise 43 World Cup matches, while ESPN2 will air 11. All ESPN and ESPN2 matches (and surrounding studio programming) will be available via WatchESPN.

ABC will broadcast 10 matches (all available on WATCH ABC), including the tournament conclusion on ABC with the title match Sunday, July 13, at 2:30 p.m. from Rio de Janeiro’s famed Estadio Do Maracana.”

Where are you watching?  For whom are your cheering?  Tell us in the comments section.
