NWS Forecast Office Baltimore/Washington map, Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at 9:18:18 am EST.

Snow is impacting travel from Prince William County northward Tuesday morning, while Fredericksburg is just south of the snow line. “Accumulating snow [in the DC metro area] is expected to continue through the commuting hours and last until mid-to-late morning,” the Capital Weather Gang reported at 9:18 a.m. Slick, snow covered roads has made the morning commute into the DC area lengthy and difficult.

There is a 60 percent chance of snow in Fredericksburg before noon, the National Weather Service said. At about 9:15 a.m., Fredericksburg Parent and Family magazine reported flurries in Fredericksburg. Clouds will gradually give way to a mostly sunny afternoon, with a high near 37.

A partly sunny, blustery Wednesday will have a high near 30. Northwest winds could gust as high as 38 miles-per-hour. The overnight low is expected to be around 10 degrees.
