FredWorks is opening a Makerspace at Fredericksburg Academy, with an opening reception and open hack night 6 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27. The Makerspace is located in room 205 of the Upper School Arts and Sciences Building, 10800 Academy Dr., Fredericksburg.

“If you are interested in electronics, robotics, Arduino programming, 3D printing, woodworking, metal working or just about any do-it-yourself discipline, FredWorks has members who can get you started,” said Max A. Lupton, a FredWorks founder and board member.

The open hack night is open to the public, and all ages are welcome. “Bring your own projects, or come see what members are working on and play with the tools and toys,” Lupton said.
