Roughly 15 percent of flights across the country are cancelled today due to the blizzard in the Northeast, NBC’s Tom Costello reported. Fredericksburg awoke to less than an inch of snow dusting surfaces and leading to delays and cancellations in the area.
Central Rappahannock Regional Libraries area opening at 11 a.m.
Fredericksburg City Schools are closed. Code red for staff.
Fredericksburg Parks and Rec programs and classes are cancelled today. Dorothy Hart Community Center will close at 4:30 p.m.
Germanna Community College will open at 11 a.m.
Spotsylvania County Schools are closed. Twelve-month staff are Code 2 as safety permits. The make-up day will be February 16, 2015.
Stafford County Schools are closed for students. The teacher workday is in effect, with a two hour late opening for staff. Liberal leave is in effect.
University of Mary Washington Fredericksburg and Stafford campuses are delayed opening. The Dahlgren campus is open.
