North Central Virginia Tech Challenge Qualifying Tournament
Saturday, Jan. 31, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Orange County High School, 201 Selma Rd., Orange, Va.
High School and Middle School robotics teams from across Virginia compete to win a place at the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Championship in February.
This event is free and open to the public.

Ride the Rails along Historic Deep Run Creek
Saturday, Jan. 31, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., weather permitting
Rappahannock Railway Workers Museum, 11700 Main St., Fredericksburg
Experience how the railroad workers of the mid 20th century rode to their worksites in open rail maintenance cars. Arrive by 10:30 a.m. to ensure a ride. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Donations accepted.

TWA Horse Shows Winter Jumper Show
Saturday, Jan. 31, 9 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m.
Hazelwild Farm Indoor Ring, 5325 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg
Spectators and competitors are welcome. Food is available for sale.

Adult Basket Making Workshop
Saturday, Jan. 31, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Learn the fundamentals of shaping and finishing a basket by learning easy weaving techniques.
