Public Hearing on Route 606 (Ferry Road) Intersection Improvements

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is holding a design public hearing for proposed intersection improvements at Route 606 (Ferry Road) from Route 3 to Mount Vernon Avenue in Stafford County.

VDOT’s proposed improvements include adding a second left turn lane for Ferry Road turning onto eastbound Route 3, and lengthening the right turn lane on westbound Route 3 for traffic turning right onto Ferry Road.

The public is invited to meet with VDOT staff anytime from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, to view proposed design plans, ask questions and provide comment on the projects. There will be no formal presentation.

The meeting will be held in the large conference room at the Virginia Department of Transportation, Fredericksburg Residency Office, 86 Deacon Rd., in Fredericksburg. The inclement weather date is Thursday, Feb. 19.
