I’ve decided to challenge you to the 40 Bags in 40 Days Decluttering Challenge. This isn’t as hard as you would think, and it is very freeing.
This is not something that I thought about. I actually found it online at White House Black Shutters.
The goal is one bag a day, but you can have more or less. The 2015 challenge officially goes from Wednesday, Feb. 18 to Saturday, April 4. Sundays are your day off. But you can start whenever!
You don’t have to take a ton of time planning it all out. When you go to the link above, you’ll find a printable to begin to plan the spots that you will work on each day.
I started on a Wednesday had hubby take four bags to the dump in just a few days. It was stuff that we didn’t need any more, or that I have avoided for way too long.
Even though our house is simplified, it is still a work in progress. This isn’t a magic formula to having a clean house. Decluttering in an ongoing process. It’s a good way to give your home a refresh, see what’s working (and what’s not), and look at “stuff” in a new light.
