Virginia Railway Express cancelled all Thursday service due to a winter storm warning issued for much of Virginia through 10 p.m. March 5, 2015.

In the Fredericksburg area, including Spotsylvania and King George Counties, temperatures will hover in the low 30s as rain falls through the early morning hours. The precipitation is expected to change to a wintry mix at about 8 a.m., becoming all snow by mid-morning, according to The Weather Channel.

The snow is expected to become heavy near noon, as temperatures fall below freezing. Snow will continue through the evening, with temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Total accumulations of four to six inches are possible.
