12 p.m. Parade begins. Includes fire trucks, classic cars, high school marching band, community organizations, Irish dancers, horses, military equipment and local pageant winners. Parade ends at Blue & Gray Brewing.
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Corned beef, sandwiches with Fred Red mustard OUTSIDE for $5.00 Proceeds from food sales benefit local Volunteer Fire & Rescue Dept’s.. $3.00 hot dogs for kids

Shamrock the Block

Shamrock the Block returns to the Boulevard for the second year in a row. Shamrock the Block is a free St. Patrick’s Day party with plenty of beer, food, music and kids’ activities. There will be plenty of green beer, as well as craft beer and brands of the Boulevard breweries. New this year, you can try small plates from more than 20 Richmond restaurants and food trucks, as well as the traditional fare. Bands this year include These Wild Plains, Dirty Bangs, Tigerman Woah and Jackson Ward. Street parking available or park at the Diamond. Free entry, pay as you go. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On the Boulevard from Leigh Street to Broad Street in Richmond.
Shockoefest

Shockoefest celebrates St. Patrick’s Day in Shockoe Bottom for the second year in a row with music, food from local restaurants and beer. This year there will also be Irish dancing, bagpipers, a free kids’ area and live music with headliner RPG. Free to enter, pay as you go. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 17th and 18th Streets. Richmond.

In addition, Sunday, March 15, will feature a baby farm animals petting zoo from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., to coincide with that day’s reading of the Little Golden Book “Baby Farm Animals.”
