The newly formed Lake Wilderness Garden Club is hosting a May Day Flower Basket contest. The group is patterning the competition after the May Day Flower Basket tradition in Historic Annapolis, Md.
“Baskets should be hung on the front door or over the mail box of Lake Wilderness properties on May 1, 2015,” said organizer Catherine Sutter. Meadows Farms gift certificates will be awarded to first place ($40), second place ($30) and third place ($20) winners, chosen by members of the Lake Wilderness Garden Club.
