Replicas of two of Christopher Columbus’ ships — the Nina and Pinta — are on display in Richmond from April 30 through May 10, 2015. Tours are available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing, 4708 Old Main St., Richmond, Va. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $6 for students ages 5 to 16. Children 4 and under can enter for free.

The Columbus Foundation sailed their two replicas up the James River, arriving in Richmond on April 29. “The ships are touring together as a ‘sailing museum,’ to educate the public and school children on the ‘caravel,’, a Portuguese ship used by Columbus and many early explorers to discover the world,” the foundation said. “Our original Niña is the most historically accurate replica of a Columbus Ship ever built.”

The Pinta and the Nina were part of Columbus’ 1492 West Indies fleet.
