NCIS’ “Ducky” to Start Marine Corps Historic Half

Veteran actor David McCallum, recognized for his portrayal of Dr. Donald (“Ducky”) Mallard on the CBS drama “NCIS,” will join the U.S. Marines and thousands of runners on May 16 and 17 for the 2015 Marine Corps Historic Half Weekend in Fredericksburg, Va.

McCallum, who plays the Chief Medical Examiner on the television show, will greet Historic Half runners starting at 1 p.m. on May 16 at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo, held inside the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center at 2371 Carl D. Silver Pkwy. The Expo is open free to the public.

McCallum will then join the U.S. Marines and U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman (R- VA) the following day to launch 10,000 participants in Marine Corps Historic Half running events that include the Historic 10K presented by Navy Federal Credit Union and the Semper Fred 5K.

The Marine Corps Historic Half begins at 7 a.m. Sunday, May 17. Held entirely within Fredericksburg city limits, the Historic Half will start in Fredericksburg’s Central Park shopping district adjacent to the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center located at 2371 Carl D Silver Pkwy.
