Leadership Fredericksburg, a Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce program, consists of nine monthly sessions in which participants learn about the businesses, issues, government, history, resources, and challenges that impact the economic and community dynamics of the Fredericksburg Region. Fellows are assigned to teams for an Action Learning Project, where they are partnered with an area nonprofit organization. Project presentations and a graduation ceremony are held in May of each year.

Leadership Fredericksburg is now accepting applications for its 2016 class. Applications are available online or by calling the chamber office at 540-373-9400. The cost is $1,900 for businesses, $1,550 for nonprofits and $2,600 for non-Chamber members. There is a $25 application fee.

Applications must be received at the Chamber office by 5 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015. A selection committee will screen the applications in July and announce the new class in August.

Chamber President Susan Spears acknowledged the cost may be difficult for all persons wishing to participate, and hopes someday the chamber is able to offer scholarships.
