Via Colori Street Painting Festival May 30 – 31 in Fredericksburg

by | May 29, 2015 | Events

Via Colori returns to downtown Fredericksburg May 30 and 31, 2015. The annual street painting festival is a modern day version of a centuries-old tradition, which features artists creating large scale pastels on the streets and sidewalks.

Each art square is sponsored, and the proceeds benefit the Grace Oughton Cancer Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of families fighting pediatric cancer.

The event is free for spectators, who stroll and watch the artists creating their masterpieces.

Via Colori 2015 will be held along the 600 – 900 blocks of Sophia Street between Hanover and Wolfe Streets, the 100 block of Charlotte Street between Sophia and Caroline Streets, and in Riverfront Park at 600 Sophia St. Fredericksburg.

Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, May 30, and 12 – 5 p.m. Sunday, May 31.
