Fredericksburg Crime Report July 15 – 16

Fredericksburg Police incident report for Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, 2015.

Attempted Breaking and Entering:
1300 block Wright Court, 7/15, 1:00 a.m. A city resident reported that an unknown person attempted to break into his home through the front and back door. No entry was made. The investigation is ongoing.

Larceny:
1900 block Woodlyn Drive, 7/15, 6:45 a.m. A city resident reported that an unknown person stole his red air compressor from the rear of his truck. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

700 block Cornell Street, 7/15, 10:30 a.m. A city resident reported that an unknown person stole her bicycle from the parking lot of her apartment complex. The bicycle is described as a black and charcoal Raleigh hybrid mountain bike. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

700 block Caroline Street, 7/14, 1:00 a.m. A city resident reported that an unknown person stole his cell phone. The resident placed his phone on a brick wall near the Visitor Center while he was talking with friends and when he turned to retrieve his phone, it was gone. The cell phone is described as a burgundy Android smart phone. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Ruby Tuesday, 2951 Plank Road, 7/14, 10:00 a.m. The manager reported that an unknown person stole grease from the store’s grease trap. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

200 block Frazier Street, 7/14, 12:15 p.m. A city resident reported that an unknown person stole his bicycle from his front yard. The bicycle is described as a white mountain bike with white fenders. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism:
300 block Twin Lake Drive, 7/15, 6:45 a.m. A contractor reported that an unknown person vandalized his company’s dump truck by breaking the head lights and shattering the driver’s side window, rearview mirrors, and windshield. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

400 block Amelia Street, 7/15, 12:00 p.m. An employee of Tree Fredericksburg reported that an unknown person broke a tree in half. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Arrests:
Atif Sheikh, 41, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a charge of shoplifting. Sheikh was released on a summons.

Myron Margulies, 85, of Teaneck, New Jersey was arrested on a charge of felony hit and run.

Justin Snyder, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Jamel Jackson, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a charge of possession of a weapon on school property.
