Meet Found in Fred’s Inaugural Merchants
Found in Fred’s ribbon cutting celebration begins at 3:30 p.m. on Downtown Fredericksburg First Friday, Sept. 4, 2015.
Will’s Place Catering is providing a free Puerto Rican themed feast, including savory Spanish rice, Spanish flavored red kidney beans and Tembleque — a coconut pudding.
Found in Fred, located at 1004 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg, provides pop-up business space as a second storefront for existing businesses and a physical presence for online businesses and startups. Inventory changes weekly, so you never know what treasures you will find. The shop also serve as the headquarters for A Modern Chair, Chris Austin’s chair remodeling and vintage re-purposing business, and Rick Jeffries’ Ventures Marketing.

The Wegner Wildlife Gallery
Sculptors Steven and Stewart Wegner are showcasing three items: Bronze sculptures “Courting Blue Crabs” and “Life Size Heron on Tree with Cat Tails,” and “Miss Jean,” a numbered print. The twin brothers own The Wegner Wildlife Gallery at 123 Wolfe St. in Fredericksburg.
Tubular Gear Dog Leashes
Erin McGann reuses punctured, locally sourced bike inner tubes to hand make leashes weight tested to 165+ pounds. “Up cycled products reduce landfill waste,” McGann said. See more at Tubular Gear

Christina Bendo Pottery
“Memory Takes Flight” is a ceramic, wood, cotton and video projection exhibit. “The ceramic birds in this exhibit are being sold to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association,” Bendo said. You can see more on Facebook at Christina Bendo Pottery

These young entrepreneurs have been selling 90’s nostalgia and vintage collectibles on eBay, Etsy and Amazon for three years, and are moving more than 400 items from their inventory to Found in Fred.
