Art Attack Fredericksburg
Saturday, Sept. 19, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Throughout the Caroline Street corridor between Amelia and Charlotte Street (700 Block thru 1000 Block) and William Street between Sophia and Princess Anne (100 block thru 300 block).
Art Attack After Party 3 – 8 p.m. at LibertyTown Arts Workshop, 916 Liberty St.
Art Attack Fredericksburg is a grassroots event organized by local artists to encourage the exposure, promotion and celebration of Fredericksburg’s vibrant art community. Participating artists take to the streets of the historic downtown with live art demonstrations in a variety of media.
Free.

Free Showing of “The Hunting Ground”
Saturday, Sept. 19, 9:30 a.m.
Paragon Village 12, 51 Towne Centre Blvd., Fredericksburg
The documentary exams sexual assault at American universities and the response by some institutions to blame and silence the victims and shield perpetrators in order to protect a school’s name. “Film is a powerful tool to help ignite conversation, raise awareness, and drive change,” director Kirby Dick and producer Amy Ziering wrote. They hope “The Hunting Ground” will be a “formidable catalyst for social change.” The Fredericksburg screenings of “The Hunting Ground” are sponsored by The Women and Girls Fund of The Community Foundation, Empowerhouse domestic violence shelter, the Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault, Germanna Community College and the University of Mary Washington.

19th B101.5 Kids Convention
Saturday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Spotsylvania Towne Centre, 137 Spotsylvania Mall Dr., Fredericksburg
Eggapalooza, science fun stations, Jeff Musial ‘The Animal Guy’, meet & greet Washington Capitals Legends Rod Langway (NHL Hall of Famer) and Peter Bondra, meet Austin North, who plays Logan Watson on the Disney Channel’s, ‘I Didn’t Do It’.
Free.

Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Road World Championships
September 19 – 27 in Richmond, Va.
The Road World Championships (Worlds) is cycling’s pinnacle event, held annually in an international city as chosen by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) through a competitive bidding process similar to the Olympic Games. The nine-day event features about 1,000 of the world’s top men and women cyclists from some 75 countries competing in 12 championship races. Beyond the racing, there will be festivals, concerts, expos and other entertainment for fans of all ages. Richmond is the first American city to host the event since 1986. There will be several hospitality areas and fan zones that will have ticketed admission, but the majority of the courses will be open and free for all spectators.

4th Annual Fredericksburg Pet Show
Saturday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m – 5 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 20, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center, 2371 Carl D. Silver Pkwy., Fredericksburg
This family fun event brings together pet owners, lovers and enthusiasts. Meet the area’s veterinarians, kennels, animal hospitals, groomers, trainers and more. Vendors with pet supplies, training tips, prizes and fun for all.

Native Plant Walk at Ferry Farm
Saturday, Sept. 19, 10:30 a.m.
George Washington’s Ferry Farm, 268 Kings Hwy., Fredericksburg
Join archaeologist Mara Kaktins for a one-hour tour examining ways Native and Colonial Americans utilized plants in their daily lives and the role plants play in interpreting archaeological landscapes.
Regular admission: $8 adults, $4 students, children under age 6, free.

26th Annual Fredericksburg Welsh Festival
Saturday, Sept. 19, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
900 Block of Charles Street in front of the James Monroe Museum in downtown Fredericksburg.
Music, dancing, vendors and food.
Free admission.

9th Annual Wine & Oyster Festival at Stratford Hall
Saturday, Sept. 19, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 20, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday will feature an antique car show from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Stratford Hall, birthplace of Robert E. Lee, is located at 483 Great House Rd., Stratford, Va.
Wine-Taster Tickets $25, Non-Wine Taster Tickets $15, Child Tickets (Age 7-13) $5, Children Under 6 free.

Friends of the Rappahannock Riverfest 2015
Saturday, Sept. 19, 4 – 8 p.m.
12475 Farley Vale Drive, King George, Va.
Steamed Blue Crabs, live entertainment, open bar, silent and live auctions, boat rides. All proceeds support Friends of the Rappahannock.

The Five 40 Roller Girls (Five 40)
Saturday, Sept. 19, doors open at 6 p.m., bout begins at 7 p.m.
Golden Skate World, 12220 Five Mile Rd., Fredericksburg
Five 40 will be closing out their 2015 season at home against the Rocktown Rollers All Star team from Harrisonburg, Va.
Admission is $12. Children age 10 and under are free.

Stafford Songfest Sunday
Sunday, Sept. 20, 3 – 5 p.m.
Celebration Stage at John Lee Pratt Park, 120 River Rd., Falmouth.
Presenting Leather and Lace, a Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac tribute band.
Rain or shine, $10/car.

Chamber Music at St. George’s Episcopal
Sunday, Sept. 20, 3 p.m.
St. George’s Episcopal Church, 905 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg.
Washington’s Camerata leads off the season with music of Handel, Bach, Locatelli. Founding flutists Kelly Kazik and Sarah McIver are joined by artists Tim Anderson, cello, and Bozena Jedrejczek-Brown, harpsichord.
Admission: $10 for adults. Children and students: FREE
