The Boutique at Caroline Street is closed.

The popular high-end resale shop was in its fourth year of business at 726 Caroline St. in downtown Fredericksburg. Owner Detra Hagerman decided to move her business to Florida, where she’s been living for a few years.

Little notice was given, and many loyal customers were caught off-guard and saddened. The store responded on Facebook:

“We are grateful for you and all our loyal ladies & gents that have allowed us to serve the Fredericksburg community. We have enjoyed our time in beautiful downtown but look forward to our new home in St. Augustine, FL. We wish you all the best ~”

LadyBurg Bath and Body Apothecary will be moving from its current location into the space in November 2015, according to owner Crystal Wellman.
