Play Highlights True Stories of Local Domestic Violence Survivors

“Boil the Frog Slowly” is a new play highlighting the true stories of local survivors of domestic violence who have been helped by Empowerhouse.

Four free performances will be held in Fredericksburg. They are appropriate for teens and adults.

-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the University of Mary Washington Hurley Convergence Center (between Simpson Library and Jepson Hall), 1301 College Ave., Fredericksburg.

-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at New Vision Kingdom of God Ministries, Massaponax Outlet Center, 4956 Southpoint Pkwy., Fredericksburg.

-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, Central Rappahannock Regional Library Headquarters branch, 1201 Caroline St., Fredericksburg.

-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Germanna Community College Fredericksburg campus in Sealy Auditorium, 10000 Germanna Point Dr., Fredericksburg.

This event is a collaborative effort of The Rude Mechanicals Theatre Group, Actorshop of London, The Sunshine Lady Foundation, and Empowerhouse.

Empowerhouse is the only domestic violence shelter in the Fredericksburg area.
